Distilled from a high corn mash of 70% corn, 20% rye, 10% malted barley, this bourbon is finished for five months in Elk Cove pinot noir barrels it is blended in a small batch of 12-year bourbon while the future of Freeland whiskey is being made. Freeland Bourbon is an homage to the South with its compellingly soft caramel, vanilla and spice notes that dance into the whiskey from charred American oak barrels. A final rest in Oregon’s Elk Cove Pinot Noir barrels adds an element of Pacific Northwest terroir.
