While traveling may not be the best idea right now with a pandemic going on, that doesn’t mean we can’t use our imaginations to pretend we’re on an island somewhere. And there’s no better time to do that than National Piña Colada Day on July 10th. So whether you’re an avid drinker of this sweet, frothy cocktail or not, join in the fun on July 10th! Here are some of our favorite recipes of this island vacation in a drink. 

SAMMY’S ISLAND PIÑA COLADA

INGREDIENTS

2 oz. Sammy’s Beach Bar Rum

1 oz. Pineapple juice

1 ½ oz. Cream of coconut

Pineapple wedge

Maraschino cherry

DIRECTIONS

Combine rum, pineapple juice and cream of coconut in an ice filled mixing glass or blender. Shake or blend vigorously and pour straight into a tall hurricane/highball glass. Garnish with pineapple wedge and cherry.

WICKED COCONUT COLADA

INGREDIENTS

1 1/2 cup Ice

1/2 cup Diced pineapple, frozen

2 oz. Pineapple juice

2 oz. Coconut cream

1 1/2 oz. Wicked Dolphin Coconut Rum

1 oz. Wicked Dolphin Silver Rum

Pineapple slices

DIRECTIONS

Put the ice, frozen pineapple, juice, coconut cream, and the white and dark rums into a blender. Blend until smooth and frosty. Pour the drink into 2 glasses and garnish the rim with pineapple slices.

Malibu Piña Colada

INGREDIENTS

1 part Malibu Rum

1 ½ parts Pineapple juice

½ part Coconut cream

DIRECTIONS

Pour everything into a shaker with ice. Shake, pour and enjoy!
