Spooky Drink Concoctions To Surprise Guests At Your Halloween Party

One of the most enjoyable activities of the Halloween season is hosting a get-together with friends and family. Everyone is having fun! Dressing up, theming costumes and acting in character are those expected delights only Halloween brings about. Mixing up a potion might just be the missing ingredient needed at your next spooky festivity. Who doesn’t love a themed cocktail? These three bottles from Cask Cartel will be downright crowd-pleasers to share with friends this season.

Empress 1908 Indigo Gin

Infused with tinted butterfly pea blossom, Empress 1908 Indigo Gin is an all-natural, color-changing gin. Adding citrus or tonic to this vivid indigo blue gin will change it to a soft pink color, making the bottle double as a Halloween trick to share at your party. To keep with the Autumn-themed nature of things, an Apple and Gin cocktail is an ideal treat to make and showing off the unique color-changing flare to guests will make it even more fun.

Apple & Gin Autumn Cocktail

  • 3 cups Empress 1908 Indigo Gin
  • 3 cups  of fresh apple cider (or hard apple cider if you really want a kick)
  • ¾ cup lime juice
  • 1 ½ cups Honey Simple Syrup
  • 1 tsp cinnamon (to taste)
  • Honey Simple Syrup:
    • ¾ cup honey
    • ¾ cup HOT water
  • optional garnishes: 6 thyme sprigs, 3 apples – cut into matchsticks

Simply combine the ingredients over ice and stir. Making the honey simple syrup is easy, just mix the honey and hot water into a lidded jar, screw tightly and shake until the honey dissolves. For the garnish, place thyme sprigs and sliced apples into the cocktail.

This autumnally-flavored spirit has a unique palate of malt and spice, falling into tasting notes of pumpkin. This bottle will give a twist to any traditional whiskey-cocktail. The añejo’s tasting flavors are refined, elegant, and expressive - hints of fruit, mingled with oak, touches of vanilla and a bit of spice. It’s the perfect flavor profile to add to this delicious crockpot spiked hot chocolate recipe. This easy-to-make specialty dessert drink will warm up your guests at your Halloween party with kitchen staples you already have on hand. Garnish with marshmallows and whipped cream.
