A rare 12-year-old wheated bourbon from Buffalo Trace’s Experimental Collection, created to study how warehouse-floor placement affects maturation. Aged on the ninth floor of Warehouse K for 12 years and 6 months, this expression experienced greater temperature variation and deeper interaction with the oak than the lower-floor releases. Rich and intense, it combines charred oak, toasted nuts, blackberry and chicory with sweet caramel and mature spice.

Nose: Rich charred oak with toasted almonds and walnuts, dark fruit, tobacco, dried spice and subtle caramel.
Palate: Full and complex, with toasted nuts, blackberry and chicory followed by caramel, toffee, maple syrup and baking spice. Mature oak and a touch of pepper add depth and structure.
Finish: Long, dry and warming, with lingering toasted nuts, blackberry, charred oak, tobacco and baking spice.
