It produces a range of wines made from Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Syrah from some of California's coolest-climate winegrowing regions, including the Sonoma Coast, Anderson Valley and Russian River Valley. The estate's first vintage in 1998 was released as Failla-Jordan, taking its name from owners Ehren Jordan and Anne-Marie Failla. Jordan and Failla purchased vineyard land in Cazadero in the Fort Ross-Seaview AVA, and planted the site initially to Chardonnay and Syrah, eventually adding Pinot Noir. Today, the organically farmed site spans around 6 hectares (14 acres) and includes steep hillside vineyards composed of rocky soils.
