The water, which travels through granite bedrock and then passes through sandstone before reaching the surface of the well, is so soft and clear that whisky expert Jim Murray called it \"undeniably sweet\"and \"an exceptional water source.\" Following fermentation, the wash is distilled twice, first through Auchroisk's copper-pot wash still and again through its copper-pot spirit stills.
