In an unusual move for rye, it is peated, giving it a smoky flavor normally associated with scotch (though those famous scotches are also produced on islands albeit in a different ocean).\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch4\u003eCadee Distillery Rye Whiskey Tasting Notes\u003c\/h4\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cb\u003eNose:\u003c\/b\u003e Cinnamon and spicy black pepper predominate, along with dark fruit like currant and blackberry.
