Nose: Peat smoke, blackberry and blackcurrant with red wine, vanilla, toasted oak and earthy spice.

Palate: Rich and powerful, with dark berries, plum, red wine tannins and caramel alongside peat smoke, pepper, vanilla and oak spice.

Finish: Long and smoky, with lingering black fruit, earthy peat, dark chocolate, pepper and drying red-wine oak.

Distillery Information

Isle of Raasay Distillery is located on the Scottish island of Raasay, between the Isle of Skye and the Scottish mainland. Founded in 2014, the distillery began production in 2017 and released its first legal Raasay single malt in 2021. Its production philosophy centers on creating a distinctive island whisky through the use of six carefully selected cask types and both peated and unpeated spirit. The distillery's warehouse maturation takes place on the island, allowing the local maritime environment to influence the developing spirit. The Na Sia series, meaning “the six” in Gaelic, showcases individual casks and different maturation combinations, offering a detailed look at Raasay's experimental approach to single malt production.
