Afterwards, they are double-distilled using 250-liter copper-pot stills and rested before finally being bottled. Mal de Amor Tepextate is distilled from agave marmorata, known for its striped appearance. The agaves are only harvested once they have reached peak maturity, which can take up to 15 years.
