One of a pair of single cask single malts from Glenrothes, bottled by The Last Drop - specialists in ridiculously rare whiskies (and sometimes brandies when the right moment strikes). These Glenrothes whiskies were distilled all the way back in 1968 and bottled in 2018 at 50.2% ABV. Each one of these 70cl bottles comes with a 5cl miniature, meaning you don't have to open the bottle if you want to taste the whisky. Handy.

Nose: Floral with notes of almonds, oak and vanilla.

Palate: Smooth and sweet with a medicinal note emerging.

Finish: Spicy with cooling menthol.

The distillery sits beside the Burn of Rothes, hidden in a glen on the edge of the town. The Glenrothes is renowned for the quality, structure and flavor, the result of over 140 years of whisky making tradition. Since its opening, the whisky from the distillery has been one of the most sought after on Speyside. In 2018, The Glenrothes 25 Year Old was awarded the Ultimate Spirits Challenge top honour, the Chairman's Trophy for Best Speyside Single Malt.
