A rare expression from Buffalo Trace’s Experimental Collection created to examine how a high barrel entry proof influences the maturation of wheated bourbon. Entered into new charred American oak at 125 proof and aged for 11 years and 3 months, this experiment developed a rich, well-rounded character. Cooked berry fruit and sweet honey are balanced by warm clove, pepper and mature oak, giving the bourbon a distinctive depth and spice.

Nose: Sweet honey, cooked berries and vanilla with caramel, toasted oak and gentle baking spice.
Palate: Rich and well-rounded, with cooked berries, honey and caramel followed by sweet oak, spicy cloves and black pepper. The higher entry proof brings a deeper, more robust character while retaining the soft sweetness of the wheated bourbon.
Finish: Long and warming, with lingering honey, dark berry fruit, seasoned oak, clove and pepper.
