This Speyside single malt was distilled on 11 July 2005 and matured for 21 years in a first-fill Oloroso sherry butt, cask #108. Bottled by Signatory in July 2026 as part of the Cask Strength Collection, the release yielded just 635 bottles. The distillery is represented only by the mysterious “M” designation, adding an element of secrecy to this mature Speyside expression. Bottled at a powerful 59.4% ABV, it combines long maturation with rich Oloroso sherry influence.

Nose: Rich dried fruits, raisins, orange marmalade, dark chocolate, honeyed malt, toasted nuts, and warm baking spice.

Palate: Full and powerful, with dates, figs, dark chocolate, caramel, orange peel, sweet malt, cinnamon, and polished oak.

Finish: Long and warming, with lingering dried fruit, chocolate, sherry spice, orange zest, toasted oak, and a gentle drying nuttiness.

Distillery Information

Signatory Vintage was founded in 1988 by Andrew Symington and has become one of Scotland's prominent independent whisky bottlers. The company is particularly known for its extensive collection of single casks and its Cask Strength Collection, which presents whiskies at high natural strength. Signatory acquired Edradour Distillery in 2002, providing the company with its own production base while continuing to source and bottle whisky from distilleries throughout Scotland. The “Speyside (M)” designation is used for a whisky whose distillery identity is not disclosed on the label.
