Domaine de la Vieille Julienne was founded in 1905. At first, like many small producers in the Southern Rhone Valley, the fruit was harvested and sold to negociants who bottled and sold the wine under various names. This changed in the late 1960s when Maxine Daumen began bottling the wines of Domaine Vieille Julienne.
