Lochlea 6 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky | 700ML

To mark Burns Night 2025, Lochlea Distillery launched its oldest whisky to date: Lochlea 6 Year Old. The single malt was produced at the Ayrshire distillery, which describes itself as "field-to-cask", from whisky filled into a trio of bourbon barrels and three oloroso sherry casks*. The six casks were then selected by master blender Jill Boyd (in what is her first big release after succeeding the legendary John Campbell) and distillery manager Darren McCormick. Lochlea 6 Year Old was bottled at 50% ABV without chill-filtration or any added colouring.

Nose: Red grapes, figs, milk chocolate.

Palate: Creamy panna cotta, malt biscuits, honey.

Finish: Signature Lochlea cereal notes, a hint of lemon zest.

Lochlea Distillery in South Ayrshire, Scotland, is known for its stunning setting and rich history. It is a recent addition to Scottish whisky making. The distillery uses local resources to produce unique single malt Scotch whiskies. Located on a farm, Lochlea follows a 'field-to-bottle' approach. They grow their barley and use local water. This control over ingredients means their whisky truly reflects the local land. The production process respects both tradition and new ideas.
