A two-bottle collection featuring Stillman’s Sonder’s 10 Year Straight Bourbon and 10 Year American Single Malt. The bourbon is rich and concentrated, combining Andean and American oak with several double-oaked components. The American Single Malt was distilled in Indiana and aged and finished in Wisconsin through multiple rounds of blending and re-barreling in virgin oak, ex-bourbon, brandy, Cognac and Calvados casks. Together, the pair showcases two distinct interpretations of carefully matured American whiskey.

Nose: Straight Bourbon: Milk chocolate, ripe strawberry, chai tea, sweet cream, wet stone and fresh oak.
American Single Malt: Toasted nutmeg, allspice, baked pear, stewed peach and integrated oak.

Palate: Straight Bourbon: Brown sugar, sweet cream, vanilla bean, strawberry and cardamom, followed by structured oak.
American Single Malt: Vanilla bean, caramel apple, spiced pear, light brown sugar and custard, with a soft fruit-driven character.

Finish: Straight Bourbon: Long and robust, with oak, milk chocolate, berry and lingering sweetness.
American Single Malt: Fuji apple, chai, toasted black pepper, mulled cider, spiced pie and a lingering caramel note.

Distillery Information

Stillman’s Sonder was created by the Maas family as a tribute to three generations of work in the American spirits industry. The whiskey's story began with exploratory single-malt distillation at MGP in Indiana between 2010 and 2016, producing barrels that were subsequently acquired and carefully aged by the family. Dancing Goat Distillery in Cambridge, Wisconsin later undertook an 18-month process of analysis, blending, re-barreling and finishing to transform these long-aged stocks into the Stillman’s Sonder releases. The brand is named for the patience and precision of the stillman, while “Sonder” reflects an awareness of the complex lives and stories behind every bottle. The American Single Malt represents the family's vision of combining traditional whiskey craftsmanship with creative American cask finishing.
