Chivas Regal traces its roots to Aberdeen in 1801, when John and James Chivas began building the business that would become Chivas Brothers. The name gained royal recognition in 1843 with a Royal Warrant to supply Queen Victoria, and entered whisky history in 1909 with the launch of Chivas Regal 25 Year Old, the blend that established Chivas as a luxury Scotch whisky.
