The domaine is also the base of the well-regarded, minimal intervention producers and négociants, the Bret Brothers (Jean-Philippe and Jean-Guillaume Bret). The property was acquired by local professor of medicine Jules Bret in 1947. Initially with only one hectare (2.5 acres) of vineyard, the estate has grown progressively over the years and now counts just over 11 hectares (27 acres) of Chardonnay with a tiny amount (half a hectare\/1.2 acres) of Aligoté.
