Their limited production and the ever-diminishing number in existence have made Henri Jayer's wines some of the most collectible and highly priced in the world. While critically acclaimed, the reputation of Jayer's wines were further added-to by featuring in the likes of the Drops of God, a Japanese Manga series of books about wine. The label itself was founded by Jayer when he inherited 3 hectares (7 acres) of land in the Côte d'Or, including parcels in the grand cru vineyard Echézeaux.
