The winery has received high critical acclaim for its wines which regularly score highly among critics and competitions. Indeed, Antonio Galloni of Vinous Media has said that, \"Querciabella stands head and shoulders above any other estate in Chianti Classico\". The estate, whose name means \"beautiful oak\" in English, has 74 hectares (183 acres) of vineyards within the Greve, Panzano, Radda and Gaiole communes of Chianti Classico. Five wines are produced from these properties: Batàr, a barrel-fermented and -matured blend of Pinot Blanc and Chardonnay; Camartina, a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Sangiovese; the Palafreno Merlot, and Querciabella, a Chianti Classico from 100 percent Sangiovese, which may be labeled as a riserva in some vintages. The 32 hectare (79 acre) Maremma estate produces Mongrana, a blend of Sangiovese, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon.
