Producer Information
Domaine Paul Autard is a highly regarded family-run estate spanning four generations in Courthézon, positioned within the renowned Southern Rhône appellation of Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Spanning roughly 26 hectares split between Châteauneuf-du-Pape and Côtes-du-Rhône, the property has been helmed since the 1970s by Jean-Paul Autard, who took over operations at just 17 years old and now manages it alongside his children, Pauline and Jules. The estate is celebrated for utilizing culture raisonnée (sustainable farming) practices and drawing from exceptionally old vines—averaging between 40 and 95 years old—planted across diverse, pebble-strewn limestone and clay soils. By combining state-of-the-art vinification in a cellar built in 2005 with traditional destemming and precise French oak aging, they craft powerful, modern-leaning, and aromatic terroir wines.
