The property was founded in 1677 by Bernard Beauregard, though it only became a full-scale wine producer in the 1800s. In 1991, it passed out of family ownership and was acquired by BPCE Bank. BPCE then sold the estate in 2014 (along with three other properties) to a partnership between the Moulin family, owners of the Galleries Lafayette and Monoprix retail businesses, and the Cathiards of Smith Haut Lafitte.
