White Oak Vineyards & Winery is a prominent, Mediterranean-style estate located in the heart of the Alexander Valley in Healdsburg, California, originally founded in 1981 by Bill Myers. A former Alaskan salmon fisherman and contractor, Myers relocated to Sonoma County in the late 1970s, famously exchanging fresh fish with local vintners in return for winemaking secrets. In 1998, the brand expanded dramatically by opening a palatial, Tuscan-style three-story tasting facility and event space nestled among 12 acres of century-old Zinfandel vines dating back to 1928. While the winery is celebrated for crafting small-lot, award-winning estate bottles under veteran winemaker Bill Parker—notably its legendary Old Vine Zinfandel, Russian River Valley Chardonnay, and Bordeaux-style blends—it also serves as a massive, silent powerhouse supplier, selling off 90% of the fruit from its extensive 750 acres of premium vineyards across Napa and Sonoma to other elite producers.
