      Reviews:

      • Wine Advocate: The medium garnet colored 2009 Figeac features a very pretty perfume of rose hip tea, lilacs and cinnamon stick over a core of red and black currant preserves plus hints of dried herbs and sweaty saddles.
      • Wine Spectator: Distinctive, with atypical (for St.-Emilion) force and drive to the black currant, roasted cedar and maduro tobacco flavors, which are supported by a dense, loam-tinged structure. Terrific roasted espresso, ganache and fig paste notes wait in reserve.

      Producer Information

Château Figeac is one of the finest producers in Saint-Émilion and is just one of fourteen properties classified as Premier Grand Cru Classé (B) in 2012, putting it firmly in the highest echelons of the region. Owned by the Manoncourt family since 1892, the history of this superb estate can be traced back to the Roman era and today spans 40ha. The majority of the grapes produced go into producing the celebrated first wine of the estate, Château Figeac, a classic style of Saint-Émilion with wonderful texture and tannic power. A small amount of the second wine, Le Petit Figeac is also produced.
