Spanning 31ha, Château Dutruch Grand Poujeaux has been in the Belgian Cordonnier family since 1967. A beautifully developed red Bordeaux with dark berried fruit, leather and earthy notes. Smooth with a lingering finish, this is an approachable find from Moulis-en-Médoc.

Producer Information

The Château Dutruch Grand Poujeaux was named after the owner who founded the domein in 1850. It is believed that François Cordonnier bought the property from the descendants of Dutruch in 1967.Aided by the experience and knowledge obtaine in many vineyards in France, including the Château de Chenonceau of which he was the manager for several years, he has added to the management of the vineyard and to the winemaking his personality, all with power and elegance.Since 1993, Jean-Baptiste Cordonnier continues, with his wife Nathalie (enthusiastically!), the work of his uncle and aunt.
