In 1998 Claudio planted the first five hectares of vines that he had hand selected. To many around him Claudio's decision was considered insane, the trend at time was towards high yield non-native grape varieties. Claudio instead focused on the low yielding native Tintilia. Thankfully Claudio's stubborness meant he stuck with his original decision. In 2003 he started work on the construction of a processing cellar and in 2005 he bottled his first wine. From there the winery has gone from strength to strength. Claudio Cirpress's wines are considered some of the premium wines from the Molise region (and Italy itself).
