It's classic Haut-Medoc, predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon which means it has a firm structure and lots of tannin – so it's great with protein, and can age fantastically. It's packed with really rich, dark fruit flavours. Plum. Blackberry.

A small 8-hectare property, located on the border of Saint-Julien, Chateau De Sainte Gemme is well known for its accessible, fruity nature and spicy complexity, which can be drunk in its youth or, in the better vintages, aged for a number of years. Predominantly made from Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, this is a property that consistently offers excellent quality and superb value.
