Yount Ridge Cellars, a relatively young boutique estate with an exceptional viticultural pedigree, is located in the heart of the ultra-coveted Oakville AVA along Napa Valley's Highway 29. Situated in a premier neighborhood directly adjacent to Cardinale and across from Far Niente, the estate encompasses 25 acres of meticulously and organically farmed vineyards planted to Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Malbec, and Petit Verdot. Before debuting its inaugural commercial release with the 2014 vintage, the vineyard quietly built a secretive, cult-like reputation; its high-caliber fruit was highly sought after by elite consulting winemakers like Philippe Melka, and the owners privately bottled small lots exclusively for high-end charity auctions. The brand's rise to prominence was guided by legendary, 100-point founding winemaker and partner Celia Welch (renowned for Scarecrow and Staglin), with acclaimed Swiss-born winemaker Jean Hoefliger taking the winemaking helm in 2021 to continue crafting their intensely structured, opulent, and low-production EPIC Cabernet blends and vibrant Sauvignon Blancs.
