      Detailed Description

The 2017 Alessandro Rivetto Barolo del Comune di Serralunga d'Alba is an elegant, full-bodied red wine made from 100% Nebbiolo grapes grown in the limestone and clay soils of Serralunga d'Alba, Italy.

      Producer Information

Azienda Agricola Alessandro Rivetto is a highly respected, boutique wine estate in the Langhe hills of Piedmont, Italy, officially founded in 2012 by its namesake owner Alessandro Rivetto. Steeped in deep family history, Alessandro launched the independent venture to honor a generational lineage of grape growing taught to him by his grandfather Ercole and great-grandfather Giovanni, adopting a philosophy of crafting "little things of great quality." The estate operates with a split-location footprint, housing its central aging cellars in the panoramic commune of La Morra while producing its Barbera and Dolcetto at a working cellar in Cremolino. Supported by master enologist Alessandro Bonelli and international specialist Mauro Adriano, the winery meticulously farms prized plots stretching between Alba and the sand-and-limestone soils of Serralunga d'Alba. While the diverse portfolio celebrates native white rarities like the historic, 100% pure Langhe Nascetta, its ultimate crown jewels are its powerful, highly concentrated, and age-worthy Barolos sourced from legendary grand cru sites, including the prestigious Lazzarito and Vigna Rionda vineyards.
