The domaine produces mainly Pinot Noir wines from 23 prestigious appellations spanning the Côte de Nuits region, from Nuits-Saint-Georges to Gevrey-Chambertin. The domaine was founded by Pierre Duband in 1963. It was passed on to Duband's son David in 1991, and today is made up of 17 hectares (42 acres) of organically farmed vineyards. Domaine Duband also sources grapes from a select few small winegrowers who share the philosophy of environmentally conscious viticulture. Since 1991, Domaine David Duband has gradually expanded to encompass numerous Premier Cru vineyards in Nuits-Saint-Georges, Chambolle-Musigny, Morey-Saint-Denis and Gevrey-Chambertin.
