      Detailed Description

The 2018 Domaine L'Abbé Dîne Côtes du Rhône is a Grenache-based southern Rhône red wine from Courthézon, France, offering plush red fruit and spice.

      Producer Information

Domaine l’Abbé Dîne is an up-and-coming, family-run wine estate located in Courthézon within the Southern Rhône Valley of France, officially launched in 2012 by fifth-generation winemaker Nathalie Reynaud. While her family has been farming in the region's hallowed "Les Bedines" lieu-dit since 1880, the harvested fruit was historically sold entirely to local négociants and co-ops until Reynaud took the reins to establish her own boutique bottling label. The estate manages a fragmented footprint of roughly 18 hectares, featuring 4 hectares of coveted, rounded pebble-stone plots inside the Châteauneuf-du-Pape AVA and 14 hectares across the Côtes-du-Rhône and Côtes-du-Rhône Villages appellations. The estate's whimsical name translates to "The Abbot's Dinner"—a playful nod to a historical local priest who loved food and wine. Utilizing some ancient vines reaching up to 120 years old, Domaine l’Abbé Dîne produces deeply structured, concentrated, and expressive organic wines under the consulting guidance of the late winemaking icon Philippe Cambie.
