      The 2018 County Line Sonoma Coast Syrah highlights the casual sophistication of cooler climate Syrah. Vibrant young blueberries and fresh black plums are identified first, intertwined with a hint of fig compote. Savory rosemary and thyme weave through the wine, along with a hint of sal secco black olives, adding a touch of saltiness. Mushroom notes enhance this umami character, while newly infested earth adds complexity to the blackberry fruit that carries this wine from start to finish.

        Producer Information

        Located in California's Sonoma County, Radio-Coteau is owned by New York native Eric Sussman. After studying agriculture, he spent several years in the Yakima Valley wine-growing region in Washington State and immersed himself in the culture of the ancient wine world. He went to France, where he learned about two exceptional vintages from Baron Philippe de Rothschild in Pauillac in 1995 and at Domaine Comte Armand in Pommard and Domaine Jacques Prier in Meursault in 1996. After a year with Bonny Doon in Santa Cruz, he settled Eric settled in Western Sonoma County as an associate winemaker for Dehlinger.
