      Producer Information

The history of the estate is closely linked to that of the Pradelle family, a family that has been cultivating the vineyards of the estate for six generations now. Its history dates back to 1854, the year during which François Pradelle, who owned 58 ares of vines planted with white grapes, had his trading house built in the village of Chanos. In 1872, his son Héli extended the vineyard property by a few hectares in the bordering towns of Mercurol and Beaumont Monteux. The extension of the family wine estate will be the work of Félix Pradelle and, above all, of his son, Jean. From the 1950s, Jean Pradelle recultivated hillside land that had been abandoned because it was difficult to mechanize. They required major earthworks. These are exceptional terroirs facing south, with lots of pebbles on a clay bottom, this is our emblematic Cuvée “ Hirondelles ”. Today, the Cave du Domaine Pradelle is operated by Antoine and Alexandre Pradelle, with the support of Jacques and Jean-Louis. Although they no longer provide management, they are still present in the field.
