oseph Jewell Wines is an artisanal, small-lot boutique winery based in Forestville, California, originally founded in a Sonoma County garage in 2006 by longtime friends Micah Joseph Wirth and Adrian Jewell Manspeaker, who combined their respective middle names to form the brand. Following Wirth's departure from the business in 2018, Manspeaker took sole ownership as lead winemaker, steering the label with a dedicated, hands-on focus on capturing the microclimates of Northern California. Operating on a small scale that focuses on unearthing the unique qualities of individual terroirs, the producer crafts three to five barrels per lot, sourcing its premium fruit from highly acclaimed, multi-generational growers across Sonoma’s Russian River Valley—including Hallberg Ranch, Bucher, and Starscape—alongside exceptional cool-climate, high-altitude vineyards in rustic Humboldt County. Renowned for its highly rated, elegant, and food-friendly style, the core portfolio centers on critically praised Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, while occasionally featuring skin-fermented Pinot Gris and ancestral sparkling Vermentino.
