Voces Cellars is an artisanal, boutique Napa Valley winery founded in 2002 by owner and first-generation winemaker Fernando Candelario, whose parents immigrated to the valley from Michoacán, Mexico, in 1979. After sharpening his technical skills with eight years in the cellar at Robert Mondavi Winery and serving as cellar master under legendary vintner Greg Brown at T-Vine Cellars, Candelario launched his own project with a singular focus on crafting low-intervention, 100% single-varietal wines. Operating at a tiny, family-run scale without a commercial tasting room, Voces bypasses corporate marketing to focus strictly on pure expressions of unblended Cabernet Sauvignon, Petite Sirah, and Zinfandel. The cornerstone of the brand is its multi-decade relationship with the historic, 1930s-era Frediani Vineyard in the Calistoga AVA, where gravelly bale clay loam soils and significant diurnal temperature swings yield rich, deeply structured reds renowned for their signature dusty tannins and multi-year French oak barrel aging.
