      Reviews:

      • Wine Advocate: Vinified with some 20% whole bunch this year, Faiveley's 2020 Mercurey La Framboisière offers up inviting aromas of sweet berries, plums, rose petals and rich soil tones. Medium to full-bodied, velvety and seamless, it's rich but lively, standing out as one of the more supple, ethereal wines in this year's range. It exemplifies the great value still to be found in contemporary Burgundy.
      • James Suckling: A very impressive Mercurey, thanks to the generous raspberry and sour-cherry fruit character, the elegant tannins and the fresh acidity. Everything fits so neatly and there's enough structure for this to age really well. Excellent vitality at the long, uplifting finish. Drink or hold.

      Producer Information

Domaine de la Framboisière, often referred to simply as La Framboisière, is the title given to Nuits-Saint-Georges-based Domaine Faiveley's range of Côte Chalonnaise wines. The name comes from a Faiveley-owned monopole vineyard in Mercurey which also gives its name to the company winery in Mercurey town. The village-level vineyard, La Framboisière has been owned by the Faiveleys since 1963, when Guy Faiveley purchased the site. Since then, Faiveley has acquired and runs vineyards in Rully, Givry, Montagny and Bouzeron. However, Mercurey remains the focus of operations in the region. The domaine oversees numerous high-profile sites including the monopoles Clos des Myglands (a 6.3 hectare/15.5 acre premier cru site), Clos Rond, Clos Rochette (planted to Chardonnay) and Les Mauvarennes (with both Pinot Noir and Chardonnay vines). The domaine also has 2.5 hectares (6.1 acres) of vines in the well-regarded Mercurey Premier Cru Clos du Roi and the Montagny Premier Cru Les Las. Across all sites in the Côte Chalonnaise, the domaines' holdings total over 60 hectares (150 acres).
