      Detailed Description

The palate is an explosion of delicate flavors, nice and delightful mouthfeel. Quite delicate and smooth texture on the long finish.

        Producer Information

Henri Valloton represents the third generation at the head of the family estate. It was founded in 1932 by Oswald, his grandfather, who had a keen nose in acquiring plots of land in Combe d'Enfer or Planche-Billon. The operation was taken over by his son André in 1957. It was then André Valloton et Fils in 1989. In 2000, André took a well-deserved retirement. Henri remains alone at the head of the estate, his brother Pierre having chosen another direction. For the sake of simplification, since 2004, the company name has become Henri Valloton, winegrower-breeder. “I favor terroirs!” This profession of faith guides Henri Valloton in all his work. To be convinced of this, you only need to hear him talk about Combe d'Enfer, Claives or Planche-Billon, these mythical places in Fully which constitute the heart of his domain where the most demanding of his specialties thrive. The suitability of the soil, the grape variety and the micro-climate is a constant concern for him. “You have to plant each variety in the conditions that suit it best ,” says the wine grower who farms vines in Fully as well as in Saillon, Saxon, Martigny and Bovernier. In total 10 hectares of carefully chosen land. Some plots have belonged to the family since the 1930s. In Saillon, its Pinot noir vines are more than 50 years old, while the Gamay de Fully comes from 40-year-old vines. “With hindsight, we know our plots well ,” confirms Henri Valloton , who wishes to expand further in Fully and in the Follaterres area where he already raises a red Humagne.
