The estate is based in Haardt, one of the nine wine villages around the town of Neustadt an der Weinstrasse. 25 hectares (61 acres) of estate vineyards are scattered throughout the area. The vineyard near Haardt is planted on rock and sandstone soils, with some gravel in the lower-lying parts of the vineyard.
