Producer Information
Bernard Fouquet began working as a vigneron in 1982 after taking over the family estate, developing Domaine des Aubuisières into a prominent Vouvray producer. The domaine farms approximately 29 hectares across Vouvray's argilo-calcareous and argilo-siliceous terroirs, allowing Fouquet to express the different personalities of Chenin Blanc through separate cuvées. Cuvée de Silex comes from the flint-influenced soils for which the estate is particularly known, with fermentation and élevage carried out in temperature-controlled vats.
