Lucky enough to snag bottles at the retail store in Park City
"A phenomenal take on the Midwinter's Night Dram. Encore is a "lighter" version - fruitier but bold. Hefty weight to the nose and palate, but not overwhelming like some "specialty" limited releases. The white port barrel provides the fruit in the taste and still has a balanced amount of smoke and boldness. It's actually "smoother" than the traditional release of Midwinter's Night Dram Act 9 from last year, and it's much more complicated in the taste. Act 9 was straightforward and excellent, with hints of fruit. This release has a very balanced taste with smoke/fruit/boldness. A spectacular Rye, that can only be purchased at the Park City retail store likely only through October 3rd. Unlike the "limited release" Act 10, which will get nationwide distribution, the Encore will be gone by today."
