A Secret Canadian Distillery 24 Year Old - Elbows Up Edition (Master of Malt) Whisky | 700ML

Distilled in 2001, this Canadian corn whisky spent the next 24 years maturing in Canadian weather extremes including clippers, blizzards, heatwaves, whiteouts, squamish and chinook winds. Yielding just over 900 bottles when we cracked into it, this whisky has been released for Canada Day 2026 and is bottled at a powerful 67% ABV, referencing the confederation of July 1, 1867.

Nose: Bright, clean and shy. Applesauce, wood workshop, raisin scones. Delicate and understated.

Palate: ZING! The ABV announces itself before layers of spice, crème brûlée, turkey gravy, rum-soaked raisins, and chocolate chip cookies. Very complex, all subtly displayed.

Finish: Creamy, custard, buttered corn lifted with some cooking spices and burnt brown sugar.

Distillery Information

Master of Malt was founded in 1985 as a retailer and bottler of whisky and other fine spirits. Today, we bottle new whiskies all the time, and our policy is simple: we only ever put our name on anything that makes us go “Wow!” That’s all there is to it! Being extremely picky, we regularly try dozens of cask samples before we find one we’re willing to bottle (trying glass after glass of fine Scotch whisky is harder than it sounds!). We also dearly love to bottle unusual whiskies too. When it comes to bottling, we like to leave things unadulterated. We never add caramel colouring to our whiskies, and we prefer to leave them at natural cask strength. In the rare occasion when we lower the bottling strength we never, ever use chill-filtration, as we believe this affects the flavour of good spirit, and we can’t have that!
