Ardbeg 12 Year Old Darkness Oloroso Cask Single Malt Scotch Whisky | 500ML

This is limited-release Ardbeg that was matured for 12 years before undergoing a 3-month finishing period in an Oloroso sherry cask. Bottled at 48.4% ABV, it is quite smoky on the nose, complemented by fruity sweetness and earthy notes.

Distillery Information

Founded in 1815 by the McDougall family, the site had grown into a small community with housing, a hall, greenhouses, a bowling green and a school for 100 pupils. The reason for its success was tied to the growing popularity of blends and the need for most to have some smoke running through them.
