Nose: The nose is lively and inviting - fresh raspberries, fragrant peach skin and flesh, saturating luxardo cherry syrup, all with a pleasing vanilla cream sweetness and fresh wood aromas on the initial pass. 

Palate: The palate saturates with dried cherry and raspberry initially before semi-sweet chocolate, charred oak, and waves of spice come in. It soaks thick into the palate and lingers for some time.

Finish: The finish is the best part as musty, slightly dusty oak begins to blanket the palate with nips of ginger, cinnamon, and black peppercorn drying slightly with an oaky, toffee, tart cherry long linger.

Distillery Information

The Bardstown Bourbon Company is a Bourbon whiskey distiller based in Bardstown, Kentucky, making a range of own-brand Bourbons as well as providing custom mashing and distilling services for a range of other brands and labels. The distillery and its facilities cover roughly 390,000 square feet (36,000 square meters) and distlils around seven million proof gallons (110,000 barrels) annually. It is one of the USA's top 10 whiskey distillers by capacity. The company makes two main labels: the Fusion and Discovery series with the former blending young Bourbons (around three years old) with more aged batches (around ten or more years old) while the latter blends batches of extended-aged whiskeys, sometimes combining portions of whiskeys from other states including Indiana and Tennessee. Various other labels and limited edition or special releases are also made as are a range of mashes for other brands including Jefferson’s, High West, Belle Meade, Hirsch, Calumet, James E. Pepper and Cyrus Noble. The distillery site also includes a visitor center and long-term aging facilities for the whiskey barrels.
