BenRiach Peated Cask Strength - Batch 1 Single Malt Scotch Whisky

The first cask strength batch release of BenRiach's peated single malt, this expression has been matured in a combination of Oloroso sherry casks and bourbon barrels. Free from chill-filtration and artificial colouring, this Speyside single malt has been bottled at 56% abv.

BenRiach Peated Cask Strength - Batch 1 Single Malt Scotch Whisky Tasting Notes

Nose: Butterscotch and roasted apples with crisp white pepper, a gentle earthy oak and peat.

Palate: Warm, toasted oak sweetness with toffee apples and nectarines amidst a building heather smoke.

Finish: Peat and sweet Scottish tablet lingering with stewed barley.

Distillery Information

The BenRiach distillery is a single malt Scotch whisky distillery in the Speyside area of Scotland. It is currently owned by Brown-Forman Corporation after being purchased on 1 June 2016 as a subsidiary from the BenRiach Distillery Company Limited, formed by two South African funding partners, Geoff Bell and Wayne Keiswetter, and Scotch whisky expert Billy Walker.
