A highly mature Benriach showcasing the distillery's distinctive sweeter style of smoky Speyside whisky. Created by Master Blender Rachel Barrie from peated spirit and a combination of five cask types, it layers vibrant citrus and forest honey over refined smoke. Dark chocolate, hibiscus, spiced orange caramel and charred mandarin add depth and richness. The result is elegant rather than heavily peated, with remarkable balance between mature fruit, sweetness and gentle smoke.

Nose: Bright yuzu, forest honey, delicate juniper smoke, dark chocolate, floral hibiscus, spiced orange peel and soft caramel.

Palate: Silky dark chocolate, tangy hibiscus, spiced orange caramel, smoked wild honey and charred mandarin, followed by lemon, ginger and ripe peach.

Finish: Long and elegant, with lemon, ginger, dried fruit, soft peach, dehydrated citrus peel and lingering wisps of Speyside smoke.

Distillery Information

Benriach was founded in 1898 by John Duff beside Longmorn, south of Elgin in Speyside. It opened during the late Victorian whisky boom but was forced to stop distilling in 1900 after the Pattison Crash, leaving the site silent for decades while its floor maltings continued to supply neighbouring Longmorn. Production finally resumed in 1965, bringing Benriach back after one of the longest silent periods in Speyside.
