A 22-year-old single-cask Bowmore from Whisky Craft’s Season Four, matured for more than two decades in a refill barrel and bottled at natural cask strength. Limited to just 263 bottles, the whisky balances Bowmore’s characteristic coastal peat smoke with ripe tropical fruit, creamy sweetness and mature oak.

Nose: Coastal smoke and crisp bacon with pear drops, fresh pastry and burnt sugar, followed by sweet barley, mango, apricot, gentle peat and delicate floral notes.

Palate: Sweet, rounded and creamy, with ripe mango, charred pineapple and single cream alongside medium peat, vanilla and oak spice.

Finish: Rich and lingering, with gentle smoke, warming spice, tropical fruit and subtle sweetness, followed by polished oak.

Distillery Information

Bowmore Distillery was founded in 1779 on the shores of Loch Indaal on Islay and is one of Scotland’s oldest licensed whisky distilleries. Its coastal location, traditional floor maltings and maturation warehouses contribute to the distinctive combination of maritime character, citrus fruit and peat smoke associated with Bowmore. The distillery is part of Suntory Global Spirits and continues to produce a range of Islay single malts that explore different ages, cask types and levels of peat influence. Whisky Craft’s Season Four focuses on carefully selected individual casks, allowing mature distillery character to be presented in highly limited, cask-strength releases.
