This VSOP Cognac is made from 100% organic ugni blanc grapes, selected and blended from four Cognac regions – Bons Bois, Fins Bois, Petite Champagne and Grande Champagne and aged between four and eight years.

Braastad Organic VSOP Cognac | 500ML Tasting Notes

Nose: Ripe pear, golden apple, vanilla, acacia honey, orange blossom, citrus zest, toasted almonds, light oak, and delicate floral aromas.

Palate: Honeycomb, vanilla cream, baked orchard fruits, apricot, caramel, roasted hazelnuts, cinnamon, gentle oak spice, soft grape sweetness, and a smooth, rounded texture.

Finish: Medium to long, with lingering honey, vanilla, fresh fruit, toasted oak, subtle baking spices, and delicate floral notes.

Distillery Information

Braastad is a family-run Cognac house based in Jarnac, France, with roots in the Tiffon Cognac house founded in 1875. The range covers classic Cognac styles including VS, VSOP, XO and older or limited expressions, drawing on vineyards in Grande Champagne and Fins Bois. Also a Pineau des Charentes, which remains an underrated style. The Braastad story begins with Maison Tiffon, founded by Médéric Tiffon on the banks of the Charente. The Braastad name entered the picture through Sverre Braastad, a Norwegian who married into the Tiffon family and helped shape the house’s international identity. Today the family connection remains central, which is refreshing in Cognac, where “family house” can sometimes mean three generations of lawyers and a global holding company. The house owns around 40 hectares of vineyards across Grande Champagne and Fins Bois, giving it direct control over part of its supply as well as access to broader stocks for blending.
