Detailed Description
Detailed Description
Black Art Sapero, the first chapter of the new Black Art limited release series. This is the Bruichladdich experimental alter ego. Under a cover of complete secrecy, head distiller Adam Hannett is free to follow his instincts, exploring and experimenting to create something exceptional. Deep and rich, with notes of dark fruits and toasted oak, this is where alchemy rules and trust replaces their signature transparency.
Bruichladdich Black Art Sapero 19 Year Old Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky | 700ML Tasting Notes
Nose: Dark fruit rises with a lacquered, polished oak backbone and a bright hint of dried citrus, weaving a refined, mysterious aromatic tapestry that hints at depth to come.
Palate: On the palate, a tapestry of rich spice and toffee unfolds with layered sweetness, a velvety mouthfeel that lingers with warmth and quiet depth.
Finish: Long, warming and quietly mysterious, the finish lingers with velvet warmth, echoing dark fruit and toasted oak as subtle spices unwind into a soft, lingering sweetness.
Distillery Information
Bruichladdich distillery is the home of four different malts: the unpeated Bruichladdich, the heavily peated Port Charlotte, the even more peated (and rarely seen) Lochindaal and the super heavily peated Octomore. The distillery was built in 1881 by the Harvey Brothers and at the time it was viewed as a very modern establishment. It is situated in The Rhinns, in the west of the island, overlooking Loch Indaal. It ran under a succession of different owners including Whyte and Mackay and Murray McDavid before being purchased by Remy Cointreau in 2012.
