Distillery Information

Bruichladdich Distillery was founded in 1881 on the Isle of Islay and is known for taking an exploratory approach to single malt production, with particular attention to barley provenance, cask maturation and terroir. The distillery produces the unpeated Bruichladdich range alongside the heavily peated Port Charlotte and Octomore expressions. Its Micro Provenance series focuses on individual casks and small-scale experiments, allowing specific combinations of barley, maturation and cask type to be explored in highly limited releases. Bruichladdich has operated under Rémy Cointreau ownership since 2012.
