Made from 100% Blue Weber agave and bottled at its natural still strength, it delivers an intense, concentrated expression of cooked agave, citrus, herbs and minerality. The 2026 release was produced using exceptionally mature agave selected for peak sugar development, resulting in greater depth and natural sweetness. Not officially classified as tequila or mezcal, it is labeled as a Destilado de Agave, reflecting its traditional production style.

Nose: Roasted and cooked agave, fresh lime, cut grass and green herbs with earthy minerality, citrus zest and subtle pepper.

Palate: Powerful and full-bodied, with sweet cooked agave, grilled vegetables, roasted pepper, lemon and lime alongside sea salt, almond and mineral notes.

Finish: Long and warming, with lingering cooked agave, green apple, ripe cantaloupe, citrus, black pepper and pronounced minerality.

Cazcanes is a contemporary Mexican agave-spirit producer founded around a commitment to traditional production, natural ingredients and high-quality Blue Weber agave. The brand works with experienced Mexican distillers and uses spring water from the Navichi Springs region. Nuestras Raíces was developed to preserve older agave-distillation traditions that predate the modern tequila appellation. For the 2026 release, Cazcanes worked with third-generation distiller Humberto Alvarado, using a distinctive production process involving wood-fire steam cooking, traditional agave processing and a handmade still. The resulting spirit earned a historic 100-point rating from Wine Enthusiast, making the 2026 release particularly significant for agave-spirit collectors.
