Our flagship, Iowa Bourbon, first aged in new American Oak, then finished in Estate Port wine casks for added complexity At 94 proof, this expression boasts a unique color and flavor of dried cherries and stone fruits, while the familiar vanilla and spice take a supporting role in the flavor profile. This seasonal bourbon is released annually in February.

Cedar Ridge Iowa Bourbon Port Cask Finished Tasting Notes

Nose: Candied fruit, cherries to be specific, vanilla, and hint of spice.

Palate: Sweet, somewhat thin mouthfeel, notes of cherries, vanilla, and a slight saltiness. Great balance of sweet and savory.

Finish: Warm, dry, definite port influences.
